Leads

A lead is information which is sufficiently specific in nature to provide one or more members with an opportunity to take action looking toward business advancement or advantage.  There are several different types of leads:

A Direct Lead is . . .
information which is sufficiently specific in nature to provide one or more members with an opportunity to develop sales or other business advantage by direct dealings with another and specified member.  ALWAYS MEMBER TO ASSOCIATION MEMBER.

An Indirect Lead is . . .
information which is sufficiently specific in nature to provide one or more members with an opportunity to advance their business objectives by dealing with one or more non-members of the Association.  Since the prospective buyer is a NON-MEMBER, the lead is an indirect lead.

A General Lead is . . .
information which, though believed to be widely disseminated by either general or specific purpose publication, is of such significance as to justify notice either to the entire Association membership or to specific members likely to have a special interest in the matter.  General leads will be treated and counted as INDIRECT LEADS because they presuppose doing business with a non-member.

When a member receives a business lead, they are expected to act promptly on it and to follow it up diligently, making every reasonable effort to get the business.

Leads are the sole motivating force of this Association.  Leads produce business and profits for members.  You are expected to keep an open ear for leads that may produce business which you can pass on.  Get to know your Association members, what leads may help them and you will find these efforts returned to stimulated your own business or profession.
