Mission Statement:
To Provide the select members of the Executive Association of Daytona Beach a means to exchange business information regarding the Volusia and Flagler County areas through self promotion of their products and services in classification talks at weekly meetings, and through a published lead sheet. The Executive Association of Daytona Beach develops relationships which encourage members to do business with other members and to make personal referrals with confidence. Our sole purpose is to generate business for and among member firms. This is accomplished through the exchange of direct business and business information.
Who we are:
The Executive Association of Daytona Beach operates for the individual benefit and profit of its members and not for profit as an organization. EADB is part of over 83 autonomous organizations throughout the U.S. and in several other countries.
History:
In 1727, Benjamin Franklin assembled 11 business friends into a group which functioned in Philadelphia for 30 years. Over time, this concept evolved into the San Francisco 100%er Club which was formed in 1916. The Executive Association is a direct descendent of that group. The goal today is the same as it was, “the exchange of advance business information among fellow members.”
The Executive Association of Daytona Beach became a part of this worldwide network in 1981. On December 12 of that year 19 businesses became the Charter Members of EADB. The first meeting was on January 6, 1982 at Cap'n Coty's Restaurant on Beville Road and membership has grown from there.
Who attends:
Membership is by invitation only and limited to one company for each category of business or profession. This eliminates competition within the association. New members must be sponsored by an existing member and must be a high quality ethical business or profession. Member firms must be represented by owners, officers, or general managers.
Members have certain responsibilities:
The EADB presently meets at the beautiful Halifax River Yacht Club every Wednesday at 7:15 a.m. Meetings are concluded promptly by 8:30 a.m.
